51 ENRemote control unitCause• No setup codes registered for the respectiveinput(s).• The remote control unit is set to a differentoperation mode.• Batteries are exhausted.• The remote control unit is too far away fromthe main system, controlling angle is too large,or there is an obstacle between the receiverand the remote.• No disc or tape is placed in the sourcecomponent.• An attempt is made to play a tape which isbeing recorded in the cassette deck.• The remote control has not been set to theoperation mode for the component you wishto control.Remedy• Register a setup code at the respective input(s).·• Press the RCV MODE key to select theappropriate operation mode.• Replace with new batteries.• Operate the remote control unit within thecontrollable range.• Place the disc or tape in the source componentwhich you want to play.• Wait until recording has completed.• Press any of the Source keys or SOURCEkey to activate the operation mode for thecomponent you want to control beforeoperation. ·SymptomCertain inputs cannot be selected using theremote control.Remote control operation is not possible.In case of difficulty
