Theruler is displayed in cyan below the tool bar and has two scales. The top scale is afixed reference based on the range setting and is either in meters or in time,depending on whether the Distance or Time option is selected on the Plan ViewConfiguration tab of the Sub Bottom Profiler Viewer Properties dialog box asdescribed below. The lower scale is variable. By adjusting the sliders on the topscale, you can zoom in or out of any water column segment of the displayed subbottom profile data. Effectively, the left slider selects the distance or time from thestart of each scan to where or when the display of data starts. The right sliderselects the distance or time in each scan over which data are displayed. Whenadjusting the sliders, the scaling of the lower scale adjusts automatically, anddouble clicking either slider returns the lower scale to the range setting.DisplayClick this button to open the Sub Bottom Profiler Viewer Properties dialog box tothe Plan View Configuration tab as shown in Figure 4-87.
