• With some DVDs, you must selectSubtitles in the Disc menu.• If the desired language does notappear after pressing SUBTITLEseveral times, the Disc does nothave subtitles in that language.• Opening the disc tray or turningoff the TV/DVD will cancel yoursubtitle setting.• If the current portion of the Dischas multiple camera angles,will appear in the top right cornerof the TV screen.ANGLE ICONmust be ON. See page 43.AnglesSome DVDs contain scenes recorded from different angles orperspectives.The camera angle will not change if the DVDdoes not contain sequences recorded from different cameraangles.1 During play, press ANGLE repeatedly to selecta different angle. The number of available anglesappears at the right of the Angle display. In this exam-ple, eight angles are available ( /8).1 / 8 Example:Angle 1 of eightavailable angles32 Subtitles, AnglesSubtitlesSelect a language for DVD subtitles during play.You mayselect only the subtitles that are available on the Disc.1 During play, press SUBTITLE repeatedly toselect a subtitle language. The number of availablelanguages appears at the right of the subtitle display. Inthe example below, six languages are available ( /6).After a few seconds, the subtitles will appear.Or, press SUBTITLE repeatedly to turn off subtitles.OFF will appear beside the Subtitle symbol on the TVscreen.11Helpful Hints1.
