If you are booting from the hard disk, make sure thatthe diskette drive is empty.To boot from the diskette drive, be sure that you have adiskette in drive A containing operating system files. Seeyour operating system documentation for informationabout creating system diskettes.NOTEThe system looks for the drive containingoperating system files. If you have a diskette withMS-DOS or another operating system's files in driveA, the system boots from the diskette drive. If youdo not have a diskette in drive A, the system bootsfrom the hard disk.A diskette without operating system files in drive Aprevents a system boot and displays the error mes-sage, “non system disk installed in drive A.”Booting from a diskette can be disabled for virusprotection in the Setup utility (see Chapter 2).3. Turn on the power to the monitor.4. Turn on power to the system unit by pressing the powerbutton on the front panel.At power-on, the system unit's power lamp lights (green)and the power-on screen appears. If necessary, adjust thecontrast and brightness controls on the monitor.
