11.2 Applying Effects to External AudioMASCHINE’s flexible routing facilities allow you to apply effects to external audio as well. Thisexternal audio can come from the inputs of your audio interface if MASCHINE is used instand-alone mode, or from your host if MASCHINE is used as a plug-in.To do this, we will choose a Sound and make use of the Audio page in its Input properties.11.2.1 Step 1: Configure MASCHINE Audio InputsMASCHINE’s audio input configuration can be done in the software only. Furthermore, thisconfiguration is necessary only if you use MASCHINE as stand-alone application.If you are using MASCHINE as a plug-in in a host application, MASCHINE can receiveaudio from your host on any of its four stereo virtual inputs.
