22-5File TransferReceiving FilesThe following procedure is used to transfer files from the host to your workstation.1. Start the transfer procedure on the host computer and specify thatfiles are to be sent.2. Display the TeemTalk File menu on your workstation and selectFile Transfer... The Initiate File Transfer dialog box will bedisplayed (as shown in the previous section).3. Select the Transfer Protocol that you wish to use.4. If you wish to change the default parameter settings for thechosen transfer protocol, click the relevant Parameters buttonand make your selections in the displayed dialog box then clickOK. See the following sections for details.Note: If the file transfer fails it is probably because of differencesbetween the local and remote parity and the word size.5. If you wish to specify a different local directory for received files,click the Local button and specify the local directory path in theLocal Change Directory dialog box, then click OK.6. Click the Receive button in the Initiate File Transfer dialog box.Note: The program will wait for the arrival of one or more filesfrom the host.7. Click the Start button. If you selected the XMODEM orXMODEM-1K protocol, a dialog box will be displayed in whichyou specify the name of the file to be received. All the otherprotocols do not require this as the filename is provided by thesender.When the transfer begins, a window will be displayed indicatingthe status of the file transfer. On completion of the transfer, or ifthe transfer is cancelled, an audible tone will sound and appropri-ate messages will be displayed.Note: With XMODEM, YMODEM Batch and ZMODEM, you canuse the Remote Command option in the ZModemParameters dialog box to automatically start the host end.
