70Changing the Image Size (Image Mode)Shooting FeaturesC Number of Images That Can Be SavedThe following table lists the approximate number of images that can be saved in the internalmemory and on a 4 GB memory card. Note that due to JPEG compression, the number of imagesthat can be saved varies greatly depending on the composition of the image. In addition, thisnumber may vary depending on the make of the memory card, even when the memory cards havethe same specified capacity.1 If the number of exposures remaining is 10,000 or more, the number of exposuresremaining display shows “9999”.2 Print size at an output resolution of 300 dpi. Print sizes are calculated by dividing thenumber of pixels by printer resolution (dpi) and multiplying by 2.54 cm (1 in.). However, atthe same image size, images printed at higher resolutions will print smaller than the sizeindicated, and those printed at lower resolutions will print larger than the size indicated.Image mode Internal memory(approx. 25 MB)Memory card 1(4 GB) Print size 2 (cm/in.)Q 4608×3456P 2 590 Approx. 39 × 29/15 × 11.5P 4608×3456 4 1140 Approx. 39 × 29/15 × 11.5R 3264×2448 8 2230 Approx. 28 × 21/11 × 8r 2272×1704 18 4560 Approx. 19 × 14/7.5 × 5.6q 1600×1200 40 8610 Approx. 13 × 10/5.3 × 4O 640×480 132 24100 Approx. 5 × 4/2 × 1.5l 4608×2592 5 1470 Approx. 39 × 22/15 × 8.5
