General information■ Stickers in the salespackageThe stickers contain importantinformation for services andcustomer support purposes.■ Access codes• Security code (5 to 10 digits):The security code protects yourphone against unauthorised use,and is supplied with the phone.The preset code is 12345. Changethe code, and keep the new codesecret and in a safe placeseparate from your phone. Tochange the code, and to set thephone to request the code, see”Security settings” on page 42.• PIN code and PIN2 code (4 to 8digits): The PIN (PersonalIdentification Number) codeprotects your SIM card againstunauthorised use. The PIN code isusually supplied with the SIMcard.Set the phone to request the PINcode each time the phone isswitched on, see ”Securitysettings” on page 42.The PIN2 code may be suppliedwith the SIM card and is requiredto access some functions, such ascharging unit counters.If you key in an incorrect signingPIN code several times, the phonemay display SIM blocked and askyou to key in the PUK code.Contact your service provider toget the PUK code.• PUK and PUK2 codes (8 digits):The PUK (Personal UnblockingKey) code is required to change ablocked PIN code. The PUK2 codeis required to change a blockedPIN2 code.If the codes are not supplied withthe SIM card, contact your localservice provider for the codes.• Barring password (4 digits): Thebarring password is needed whenusing the Call barring service,see ”Security settings” onpage 42.
