If not,contact your service provider for the correct settings,order the settings from your service provider in aconfiguration message, or use the Settings wizardapplication.Text message settingsSelect > Messaging > Options > Settings > Textmessage.Select from the following:• Message centers — View the available messagecenters for your device.• Message center in use — Select a message center tosend the message.• Character encoding — Select Reduced support to useautomatic character conversion to anotherencoding system when available.• Receive report — Select Yes if you want the networkto send you delivery reports on your messages(network service).• Message validity — Select how long the messagecenter resends your message if the first attempt fails(network service). If the recipient cannot be reachedwithin the validity period, the message is deletedfrom the message center.• Message sent as — Convert the message to anotherformat, such as Text, Fax, Paging or E-mail. Changethis option only if you are sure that your messagecenter is able to convert text messages into theseother formats. Contact your network operator.• Preferred connection — Select the preferred methodof connection when sending text messages fromyour device.• Reply via same center — Select whether you wantthe reply message to be sent using the same textmessage center number (network service).Multimedia message settingsSelect > Messaging > Options > Settings >Multimedia message.Define the following settings:• Image size — Select Small or Large to scale imagesin multimedia messages. Select Original to maintainthe original image size.• MMS creation mode — Select Restricted to have yourdevice prevent you from including content inmultimedia messages that may not be supported bythe network or the receiving device.
