Make calls68FCC DRAFTMonitor all communication eventsIcons in Log:IncomingOutgoingMissed communication eventsTo monitor all voice calls,text messages, or dataconnections registered bythe device, press , selectTools > Log, and scroll rightto open the general log. Foreach communication event,you can see the sender orrecipient name, phonenumber, name of the serviceprovider, or access point.You can filter the generallog to view just one type ofevent, and create new contact cards based on the loginformation.Tip! To view a list of sent messages, press , andselect Messaging > Sent.Subevents, such as a text message sent in more than onepart and packet data connections, are logged as onecommunication event. Connections to your mailbox,multimedia messaging center, or Web pages are shown aspacket data connections.To add an unknown phone number from Log to yourcontacts, select Options > Add to contacts.To filter the log, select Options > Filter and a filter.To erase the contents of the log, recent calls register, andmessaging delivery reports permanently, select Options >Clear log. Select Yes to confirm. To remove a single eventfrom the log, press .To set the Log duration, select Options > Settings > Logduration. The log events remain in the device memory fora set number of days after which they are automaticallyerased to free memory. If you select No log, all the logcontents, recent calls register, and messaging deliveryreports are permanently deleted.To view the details of a communication event, in thegeneral log view scroll to an event, and press .Tip! In the details view you can copy a phone numberto the clipboard, and paste it to a text message, forexample. Select Options > Copy Number.Packet data counter and connection timer: To view howmuch data, measured in kilobytes, is transferred and howlong a certain packet data connection lasts, scroll to anincoming or outgoing event indicated by Pack., and selectOptions > View details.
