28 Chapter 1 Introduction208296-CPower supply modulesIndividual power supply modules (Figure 8) fit into the rear of the BayStack 10PSU.Figure 8 Power supply moduleEach module has unique input/output and current (AC/DC) specifications andmeasures 4 x 8 x 16 inches (10.2 x 20.3 x 40.6 centimeters). You can fit up to fourmodules into the slots in the back of the BayStack 10 PSU. You can use anycombination of four modules, as determined by the equipment for which you areproviding redundant power. If you do not install four modules, you must cover theempty slots with the cover plates provided to ensure proper airflow inside thechassis. Any power supply module can be inserted into any RPS slot.Available modules include:• 136W AC/DC Power Supply Module— Receives universal input of 100 V AC to 240 V AC— Provides DC outputs of +12 V DC, -12 V DC, and +5 V DC— Provides over-current protection for the +12 V DC, -12 V DC and+5 V DC options— Provides over-voltage protection for the -12 V DC option— Supplies redundant power to devices equipped with receptaclescompatible with connectors on the DC connector cable for this module— Provides surge protection— Provides DC fail signalWarning: Do not insert your hands into the empty slots.
