Turning off the alarmWhen you are using the UPS module, an alarm sounds when a BayStack 10 PSUhas an error condition, as listed in the table in Chapter 1. Read the LED todetermine which error code is displayed, and refer to the table to identify thespecific error.To turn the alarm off:Initialization processThe BayStack 10 PSU completes a self-test when it is powered on, with either theRPS SNMP controller module or the UPS module installed.RPS controller moduleWhen the RPS SNMP controller module is installed in the BayStack 10 PSU, youpower on the unit only by plugging in the AC power to the standard outlet; thereare no on or off buttons or switches in this configuration.When you connect the power cord to the standard outlet, all the LEDs on the frontof the controller module light for about 15 seconds while the system performs aself-test. When the self-test is successfully completed, 000 appears in the errorcode box and the LEDs light appropriately. (For information about the LEDs,refer to “LEDs” on page 18. If 000 does not appear in the error code box, referto “Error codes” on page 20.)
