Configuring the IP Phone 1140E74Dual pairing headsetsTake special care when using a "dual pairing" type of Bluetooth wirelesstechnology headset. This type of headset can be paired to the base of theheadset as well as to the IP Phone 1140E. If the headset is paired toboth, the IP Phone 1140E is the second device, and the following applies:Press the headset "telephone" key:• If a single tone sounds, the headset is connected to the base.• If a double beep sounds, the headset is connected to theIP Phone 1140E.10. Choose one of the following:• If only one headset is paired, proceed tostep 11.• If more than one wireless headset ispaired, the first headset paired isautomatically made the active device. Tomake a different headset active, do thefollowing:— Press the Right navigation key oneor more times to highlight the Setbutton (next to the Set Active Deviceitem).— Press the Select/Set Context-sensitive soft key.The message "Set active: “device name”appears and means the headset namedis now the active headset and is usedwhen you press the headset key.11.
