The Site Survey utility:• Reports link quality between the laptop computer and the access point• Verifies wireless link quality and helps you make adjustments to minimizeinterference due to building structure (materials) or other radio devices• Allows a laptop computer to roam and select access points with the bestperformance• Monitors link quality, utilization, and connection quality during normaloperation• Provides a list of access points within range that are set to the same SSIDThe PC card must be installed on your laptop computer before you perform a sitesurvey. The access point does not have to be connected to a wired network.To perform a site survey, make a list of key locations within a BSA, record thelink quality at each one, and then save the survey in a file. Repeat this process foreach BSA surveyed. Later, open the file in Site Survey or with a spreadsheet.Or print the survey using the Site Survey utility.
