Power Supply Boards come installed in factory-assembledconfigurations which require additional power.Note 1: If a power failure occurs, configurations that require loop powerwill only continue to work if the system has battery backup. Only thoseoptions which require additional power will cease to function.Note 2: During a power failure, the carbon agent headset on theM2216ACD-2 will fail and the electret supervisor's jack can be used asan agent jack. If no headset was plugged in to the electret jack at thistime, the call is dropped, the agent logged off and must log in again oncethe electret headset is plugged in. When power is restored, the carbonjack returns automatically.Power Supply BoardThe power supply option consists of a Power Supply Board which mountsinside the telephone, coupled with an external wall-mount transformer orcloset power supply which provides power to the Power Supply Board.
