Press * or & until the display shows3.Module Status.3. Press ^. The display shows Show module: _.4. Enter the module number you want to examine, or press^ to see the first module. The display identifies howmany devices are attached to the module.To disable a Line Cartridge, press LC. The display shows thenumber of lines on Line Cartridge 1. Press * or& to view the other Line Cartridges.5. Press STATE. The display shows the state of the devices on themodule.6. Press DISABLE . If the device is busy, the display shows Disableat idle?. If you wish to disable the device immediately ratherthan wait until it is no longer in use, press CHANGE. The displayshows Disable at once?. Press YES.Note: Disabling module 1 (Controller TCM lines) will not disablethe Administration port.The Administration Terminal displays the same messages fordisabling devices and for disabling modules. For more information,see “Checking the port status.”! Do not disable or enable modules under the followingconditions:• During the first two minutes after a Memory reset.• During the first minute after connecting or disconnecting a fibercable (do not connect or disconnect a fiber while enabling ordisabling modules. If you do so, incorrect ports may be enabledor disabled. To recover from this, disable then enable the affectedmodules).! Warn users before disabling the system.Disabling a Line Module or Base Station Module will disable all orpart of the COMPANION 200 system. If you want to disable amodule while people are using the COMPANION 200, you shouldfirst inform them that the system will be unavailable.
