Not allhearing aids are optimized for use with a telephone.Viewing information about a call on the displayIf you subscribe to Call Display services from your local telephonecompany, one line of information about an external caller isdisplayed after you answer. Depending on the setting and theexternal information available, either the caller's name or telephonenumber is displayed.When you transfer an external call to another Norstar user, thisinformation is displayed on the recipient's telephone.Call Display information becomes available between the first andsecond ring of an incoming call. If you answer before the CallDisplay information is available on your display, and you pressƒ°⁄⁄, you will only see the line number or line name.To use logging features with Call Display, see “Using Call Log” onpage 87.Using Call Information for a particular callCall Information lets you see information about incoming calls. Thisinformation is more detailed than the Call Display information youcan receive automatically. For external calls, you can display thecaller's name, telephone number, and the line name. For an internalcall, you can display the caller’s name and their internal number.You can see information for ringing, answered, or held calls.Call Information is available for calls even if they have beentransferred, forwarded or rerouted in some way.
