140 - C130n User’s GuideSolving Problems with Media MisfeedsNote Frequent misfeeds in any area indicate that area should be checked,repaired, or cleaned. Repeated misfeeds may also happen if you’reusing unsupported print media.Symptom Cause SolutionSeveral sheets gothrough the printertogether.The front edges ofthe media are noteven.Remove the media and even up thefront edges, then reload it.The media is moistfrom humidity.Remove the moist media and replace itwith new, dry media.Media misfeedmessage stays on.Top cover needs tobe opened andclosed again to resetthe printer.Open and close the top cover again.Some media remainsmisfed in the printer.Recheck the media path and makesure that you have removed all of themisfed media.Duplex optionmisfeeds.Unsupported media(wrong size,thickness, type, etc.)is being used.Use good quality recommendedmedia. See “Print Media” on page 53.Only Letter/A4 plain paper andrecycled paper can be autoduplexed ifthe duplex option is installed and themedia type is set properly in the driver.Make sure that you have not mixedmedia types in Tray 1.Do not duplex labels, thick stock,postcard, or letterheads.Media is still beingmisfed.Recheck the media path inside theduplex option and make sure that youhave removed all of the misfed media.Downloaded From ManualsPrinter.com Manuals
