Refer to Printer User’sManuals.(a) Ready/Busy protocolBlock format : FreeError indication : The parity error indication is printed as character 40(H).Busy state indication : The busy signal turns on (becomes Busy) when the room ofthe interface buffer has become less than 256 bytes. Thebusy signal turns off (becomes Ready) after 200 ms or 1second has passed if 256 bytes have recovered within 200ms or 1 second. If the timing of recovery exceeds 200 msor 1 second, the busy signal turns off (becomes Ready)immediately after the recovery has occurred.Timing chart:(b) X-ON/X-OFF protocolBlock format : FreeError indication : The parity error indication character is converted into code40(H)Busy state indication : The DC3 will be sent to the transmission side immediatelyafter the room in the interface buffer has become less than256 bytes to inform that receiving is impossible. Thetransmission of the DC3 stops when the data receiving hasstopped. If the timing of recovery of 256 bytes is within 200ms or 1 second after the DC3 is sent, DC1 will be sent 200ms or 1 second after the recovery to inform that receiving ispossible. If the timing of recovery exceeds 200 ms or 1second, the DC1 is sent immediately after the recovery hasoccurred.
