You will use them for quick, one-touch dialling, and to access most of your faxmachine’s functions and programming options.Using the One Touch Keys for DiallingTo use a One Touch key for dialling, just press theappropriate One Touch key. For each key, you mayprogram up to two telephone numbers: a primarynumber, which will always be dialled first, and analternate number which will be automatically dialledif the first number is busy or if there is no answer.You can also use the Location IDs (names) associat-ed with One Touch keys to search for these loca-tions by name using the Search key.Using the One Touch Keys forSelecting Functions and ProgrammingYou will also use the One Touch keys for selectingspecial transmission and reception functions, forobtaining reports and for programming.To select a function from the One Touch keypad,press the Select Function key, then press the corre-sponding One Touch key.1/Delayed TX Key: Use this key to send a fax at a latertime and date which you specify (within three days).2/Broadcast ↔ Feeder TX Key: Use this key to senda fax to multiple locations.3/Confidential TX Key: Use this key to send a confi-dential document to a mail box (a memory storagearea) in the receiving fax machine.4/Relay Initiate TX Key: Use this key to set up arelayed fax transmission. During a relayed fax trans-mission, your fax machine initiates the transmissionby sending a document to a second fax machine,which then broadcasts the message to a number ofother fax machines.5/Polling Key: When a document is loaded on thedocument table, use this key to set your fax machineto wait for another fax machine to call and requestthe document to be sent (polling transmission).When no document is loaded on the documenttable, use this key to call another fax machine and4100 Fax ENGLISH 15/1/97 9:37 am Page 17
