OkiLAN 6200e Plus User’s GuideTCP/IP 156Configuring SCO UNIX for Printing with theNetwork Print ServerThis application note describes the configuration of theprinting system on the Santa Cruz Operation’s (SCO)version of the UNIX operating system. For clarity andbrevity, the following specific names will be used torepresent general devices or concepts.• lj4 - The local queue name of the SCO system towhich print jobs that are destined for a printerattached to the Network Print Server will bedirected.• OKIPRINTER - The host name of the remote sys-tem which is the Network Print Server. For exam-ple, to telnet to the Network Print Server andinvoke the Network Print Server Configuration util-ity, you would type telnet OKIPRINTER. A hostname is not required for the Network Print Server,the IP address may be used.• yourqueuename - This is the name of the queueon the Network Print Server and must end with 1,2, 3 or 4 depending on the port selected to servicethe print jobs. If FF, LF or NF are the last two lettersof the queue name, the job will be convertedaccordingly.
