323ENSetting the Author ID and Work TypeEvery file recorded on the recorder will includethe Author ID and Work Type as part of its headerinformation. To create multiple Author IDs andWork Types on the recorder, use the bundled ODMSsoftware to create and upload a data list (list ofAuthor IDs and Work Types) to the recorder. For moredetails, refer to the online help for ODMS software(☞ P.47).By default the Author ID is set to “DS7000”.Setting an Author ID1 Turn ON the recorder.• When [Prompt for author ID at Power-on.]has been set through ODMS software (☞ P.44),the registered Author ID list will appear.2 Press the + or – button to select theAuthor ID that you want to assign to therecorder from the ID list.3 Press the OK/MENU button to set the ID.• When more than one Author ID exist on therecorder, the ID list will be displayed.Note• Up to 10 Author ID entries can be registered (up toa maximum of 16 characters).Setting the Work TypeUp to 20 Work Types can be registered and uploadedto the recorder using the ODMS software. Each WorkType can have up to 10 optional items associatedwith it. Work Types and Optional Items can beused on the recorder to populate the file headerinformation. Refer to the ODMS software online helpfor registering/setting up Optional Items through theODMS software (☞ P.47).The Work Type information of the recorded oruploaded files can be edited with the menu settingsof the recorder (☞ P.40).1 While the recorder is in stop mode,press the NEW button.• When [Prompt for Worktype ID on newrecordings.] has been set through ODMSsoftware (☞ P.44), the Work Types uploaded tothe recorder will appear in a list.2 Press the + or – button to select a WorkType from the Work Type list.3 Press the OK/MENU button to set theWork Type.• The selected Work Type and a maximum of20 Optional Items associated to it can berecorded as file header information.• It is possible to add an extra Value to theOptional Items list of the selected WorkType.
