Neverload the battery with its +/- terminals reversed. Never force the battery intothe battery compartment.• If the rechargeable battery has not been recharged within the specified time,stop charging it and do not use it.• Do not use a battery if it is cracked or broken.• If a battery leaks, becomes discolored or deformed, or becomes abnormal inany other way during operation, stop using the camera and consult yourdealer or an authorized Olympus service center. Continued use may resultin fire or electric shock.• If a battery leaks fluid onto your clothing or skin, remove the clothing andflush the affected area with clean, running cold water immediately. If the fluidburns your skin, seek medical attention immediately.• Never attempt to modify the battery compartment on the camera, neverinsert anything (other than the recommended battery) into the batterycompartment.• Never subject batteries to strong shocks or continuous vibration.CAUTION• Before loading, always inspect the battery carefully for leaks, discoloration,warping, or any other abnormality.• Olympus lithium ion batteries are intended for use only with Olympus digitalcameras. To find out whether your camera can be used with these batteries,read your camera’s manual.• Always charge lithium ion batteries when using them for the first time, or ifthey have not been used for a long period.• The battery may become hot during prolonged use. To avoid minor burns, donot remove it immediately after using the camera.• When operating the camera with battery power at low temperatures, try tokeep the camera and spare batteries as warm as possible. Batteries whichrun down at low temperatures may be restored after they are warmed atroom temperature.• Always unload the battery from the camera before storing the camera for along period.• Before using a rechargeable battery, be sure to read the instructions.• The number of pictures you can take may vary depending on the shootingconditions or battery.• Before going on a long trip, and especially before traveling abroad, purchasean ample supply of extra batteries.
