If the problem persists,contact your supplier.Starting upOperationSymptom RemedyPower does not come on. • Check whether power cable (included in theseparately sold Cable Kit) is connected correctly.Power gets turned offautomatically.• If you have set a refer to “PowerOff Time” onpage 75 and are running the recorder with theignition switch at LOCK (OFF), turn the ignitionswitch on and reboot the recorder (see “On” onpage 19).• If the operating environment is hotter than therecommended temperature, the unit may turnoff for safety reasons. If this happens, wait forthe operating environment to cool down beforeusing the unit.Symptom RemedyCover cannot be opened. • Are you using the supplied key?Key cannot be removedfrom lock.• Is the P2 card slot cover closed? The key canonly be removed if the P2 card slot cover isclosed.P2 card slot cover cannotbe closed.• Is a P2 card inserted correctly in a P2 card slot?• Is the Eject button folded to the right?The unit does not respondor another problem hasoccurred.• To reset the unit, keep pressing the [REC] buttonand [STOP] button on this unit together for about10 seconds. When resetting, after all lampsturn off (1 or 2 seconds) and then on (1 or 2seconds), all lamps blink.• If the button lock is enabled (“ON”), change thesetting to “OFF”.(see “Unlocking” on page 54 and “Operation KeyLock” on page 83)Recorder was restartedwithout performing areset.• If you remove the P2 card during P2 cardaccess ([BUSY] lamp is lit), the P2 card slotmay become inoperative. In such a case, therecorder automatically restarts itself, and thecard slot will become operative again.• When auto maintenance is set to “ON”, therecorder reboots at the set interval.
