33Additional Informationon OperationLicense Plate Recognition (LPR) ModeEngaging the License Plate Recognition (LPR) mode allows you to start up theLPR system.Set the color camera shutter speed to [LPR Shutter Speed] (1/500 or 1/1000)when using the LPR system.When a recording trigger starts a recording during license plate recognition,however, the shutter speed automatically switches to the setting configured for[Patrol Shutter Speed].When recording stop criteria are met, the shutter speed automatically returns tothe setting configured for [LPR Shutter Speed] (1/500 or 1/1000).The diagram below shows how changes in LPR mode settings and starting andstopping recording by an officer affect shutter speed, camera zoom, OSD and the[LOCK] lamp.∗ The settings available for [Patrol Shutter Speed] are AUTO, 1/100, 1/500, and1/1000.The settings available for [LPR Shutter Speed] are AUTO, 1/500, and 1/1000.Note:[Patrol Shutter Speed] and [Patrol Zoom] are available also without the licenseplate recognition program.
