Getting Started363.7 WirelessIt’s taking a lot of time toregister the cameras.Network layouts may require a camera re-start, inwhich case registration can take up to 3 minutes. The image from networkcameras is not visible.During Quick Setup, the BL-WV10, after obtainingnetwork data from the router, will seek out an IPaddress not currently in use for its own fixed IP. Inaddition, there are fixed IP addresses for cameras onwhich Quick Setup was performed. If the same IPaddress is chosen after Quick Setup, this will causenetwork problems.• Either change the IP settings for one of theduplicate IP devices, change the networksettings for the BL-WV10 and the camera(s),or re-perform Easy Network Setup afterresetting the default settings for the BL-WV10and re-initializing the camera(s).A signal from a wirelessrouter is being received, even though you’re notusing one. This will happen when wireless information isreceived from connected devices which supportPanasonic’s Quick Setup protocol (including theBL-WV10 itself). When 2 BL-WV10 unitsare connected, the IPaddresses are the same. When using Quick Setup for more than oneBL-WV10, the same IP address will be used for each.• Change the IP addresses to avoid duplicationon the network.Issue Causes and SolutionsThe image from camerasfor which Quick Setup wasperformed is not visible. When you stand in front of a camera with a PRIVACYbutton (less than 1 m in front of the camera), does thePRIVACY button turn green? If not:• Change the camera’s switch from wired towireless. If it is already set to wireless, re-register thecamera using Quick Setup. If so:• Check the wireless signal strength.
