Some simple checks ora minor adjustment on your part may eliminate the problem and restore proper operation.If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, consult your dealer forinstructions.Reference pages are shown as black circled numbers 6.Common ProblemsInsert the AC mains lead securely into the household mains socket. 9To conserve power, the player automatically switches to the standby mode after approx. 30 minuteselapse in the stop mode (Auto power-off function). Turn the power back to ON.Condensation has formed: Wait about 1 to 2 hours for it to evaporate.This player cannot play discs other than DVD, Video CD and CD. 6DVDs with a region number other than “2” or “ALL” cannot be played. DVDs with multiple regionnumbers including “2” can be played. 6The disc may be dirty and may require cleaning. [Ensure that the disc is installed with the label of the side to be played facing upwards. <Ensure that the equipment is connected properly. 9 :Ensure the television’s video input setting (e.g. AV1, AV2) is correct.Ensure that the equipment is connected properly. 9 : QjTEnsure that the input settings for the television and stereo system are correct.Adjust the master volume using the GUI screen for player information. JTurn V.S.S. off or select the appropriate V.S.S. mode. GThe picture will be somewhat distorted at times: This is normal.Some operations may be prohibited by the disc.Press [Í/I] to switch the player to the standby mode and then back to ON. Alternatively, press [Í/I]to switch the player to the standby mode, disconnect the AC mains lead and then reconnect it. (Theplayer may not be operating properly due to lightning, static electricity or some other external factor.)Go to the initial settings menu “6 TV Aspect” and change the setting to suit your television. You mayalso need to change the screen mode on the television itself. ; PThe “Off” setting is selected for “1 On-Screen Messages” in “4 On-Screen Messages”:Select “On”.
