Logical InstallationInstallation Manual 119When the OK button is selected, the MCS saves the configuration information on disk in theunit's OFDD.VHO file and returns to the MCS directory window.The updated OFDD.VHO file is now ready for upload to the unit using the MaintenanceConsole Software's file transfer features discussed in section 4.10 Transfer Setup andConfiguration Files to Units.Click the Cancel button in any folder to abort all of the edits made during the currentconfiguration session.The Maintenance Console Software then displays a confirmation dialogue box.Select Yes to abandon all changes and return to the directory window.Note• Often, when many units need to be created and configured, several of the units will havesimilar configurations. When this is the case, a quick way to create and configure theseadditional units is to use the copy and paste commands to create copies of existing units.Once created, copied units can be quickly renamed and edited with new IP addressing andnumbering information.• Select the unit to be copied in the Units window pane and click the Copy button on theToolbar.• Click the mouse in a vacant area of the Units window pane to deselect the copied unit. Thenclick the Paste button on the Tools bar.• The MCS names the copy "Copy of Unit ...".
