Logical InstallationInstallation Manual 125Network FolderUse the Network folder to configure network timing parameters used to monitor the linkbetween a Gateway and router, hub, or switching device to which the unit is connected. Whenlink failure is detected, the error condition is reported.Also use the folder to enter the Gatekeeper's ID, the location of a second Gatekeeper if present,and to configure Gatekeeper bandwidth management.Use the Information Section to view and edit network timing parameters.Regular timeperiodType the timing cycle over which the error checking packets will betransmitted during normal operation.The seconds value can also be scrolled up and down with the scrollingarrows located to the right of the field.Error detect timeperiodType the timing cycle over which the error checking packets will betransmitted after an error has been detected. This value is usually set to ahigher frequency than Regular Timing. If a normal return is detectedduring this period, the Regular Timing is resumed.The seconds value can also be scrolled up and down with the scrollingarrows located to the right of the field.Disconnect aftererrorsType the number of times that an error can be detected before the link isfailed.The times value can also be scrolled up and down with the scrollingarrows located to the right of the field.
