Preparation13Programmable FunctionsDate and Time“ ” flashes on the base unit display if the clock has not beenset. Set the clock by following the steps below.• When entering the time in step 3, you cannot enter numbers greater than 12. Donot use military time. (To set 13:00 hours, enter “0100”, then select “PM” instep 4.)• When the display language is set to French, you can use military time (seepage 13 of the French Operating Instructions).To check the date/time, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.• The current date/time is displayed. When finished, press [OFF].1 Press [MENU].2 Scroll to “Date and time” by pressing [ ] or[ ], then press Select.3 Enter 2 digits each for month, day, andyear.(e.g. To set Apr. 7, 2003, enter “04 07 03”.)Enter 4 digits for time (hour and minute).(e.g. To set 9:30, enter “0930”.)• If you enter a wrong number, press [ ] or [ ] tomove the cursor to the incorrect number. Enter thecorrect number.4 Select “AM” or “PM” by pressing AM/PM.5 Press Save, then press [OFF].• The clock is set and “ ” disappears from thebase unit display.• If 3 beeps sound after pressing Save, the settingis not correct. Try again from step 3.If a power failure occurs, the time setting may be incorrect.
