Walk closer to the base unit, andtry again.• Confirm that the base unit’s AC adaptor isplugged in.• Raise the base unit antennas.• The handset’s registration may have beencancelled. Re-register the handset(p. 54, 55).The handset and/or base unitdoes not work.• Check the settings (p. 10–12).• Check whether the dialing mode setting iscorrect (p. 15).• Fully charge the battery (p. 11).• Clean the charge contacts and charge again(p. 12).• Check battery installation (p. 11).• Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset it.Plug in, and try again.• The handset has not been registered to the baseunit. Register the handset (p. 55, steps 5 and 6).• Re-install the battery (p. 11) and fully charge it.Static, sound cuts in/out,fades.
