Please refer to the TV’soperating instructions for details.≥When images are displayed on a TV screen,the Date/Time Indication may be erased insome cases.≥Depending on the TV, the picture quality maybe deteriorated.ª Programme AE≥If any of the Programme AE Modes isselected, you cannot adjust the shutter speed(-53-) or iris (-54-).≥If the Picture Effect is set to [GAINUP],Sports, Portrait or Low-Light Mode iscanceled.Sports Mode≥During normal playback, the imagemovement may not look smooth.≥Because the colour and brightness of theplayback image may change, avoidrecording under fluorescent light, mercurylight or sodium light.≥If you record a subject illuminated withstrong light or a highly reflective subject,vertical lines of light may appear.≥If the light is insufficient, the [5]Indication flashes.Sports Mode/Portrait Mode≥If you record a still picture in ProgressivePhotoshot Mode, the brightness and hueof the recorded still picture may becomeunstable.≥If this mode is used for indoor recording,playback images may flicker.Low Light Mode≥Extremely dark scenes may not be able tobe made brighter to a satisfactory degree.Spotlight Mode≥With this mode, recorded images may turnout to be extremely dark.≥If the recording subject is extremely bright,its recorded image may turn out to bewhitish.Surf & Snow Mode≥If the recording subject is extremely bright,its recorded image may turn out to bewhitish.ª White BalanceIn the following cases, you cannot changeWhite Balance:≥When you set the Picture Effect to [GAINUP],[SEPIA] or [B/W].≥When you set the Zoom to 15k or higher≥During Digital Still Picture Mode≥When you display a MenuIn the following cases, the [1] Indicationflashes:≥The flashing indicates that the previouslyadjusted White Balance setting is still kept.This setting will be kept until White Balance isadjusted again.≥You may not be able to achieve correct WhiteBalance Adjustment manually under weakillumination.ª Manual Shutter Speed Adjustment≥You may see vertical lines of light in theplayback image of a brightly shining subject orhighly reflective subject.≥During normal playback, movement in theimages may not look smooth.≥Because the colour and brightness of theplayback image may become unstable, avoidrecording under fluorescent light, mercury lightor sodium light.≥If you are using either Gain-up Mode (-55-) orProgramme AE Mode (-52-), you cannot adjustthe shutter speed. If the shutter speed wasadjusted manually, this setting will becancelled.ª Manual Iris Adjustment≥Depending on zoom magnification, there areiris values that will not be displayed.≥If you are using Programme AE Mode (-52-),you cannot adjust the iris.≥If you attempt to adjust the Shutter Speed aftersetting the Iris, the value set for the Iris will becancelled.ª Picture Effect Functions≥If the Picture Effect is set to [WIPE], [MIX] or[TRACER] with [PIC.E.] Button, the setting of[NEGA], [SEPIA], [B/W] or [SOLARI] is canceled.≥If you have set the Picture Effect to [B/W] or[SEPIA], changing the selected White BalanceMode is not possible. (-52-)≥If the Picture Effect is set to [GAINUP], thepreviously adjusted shutter speed is canceled.It is as follows when [GAINUP] is selected.≥Manual Focus Mode≥The shutter speed and White Balance cannotbe operated.≥The Sports Mode [5], the Portrait Mode[7] and Low Light Mode [4] are cancelled.
