9Power SupplyªUsing the AC Adaptor1 Connect the DC Input Lead to the Movie Camera.2 Connect the DC Input Lead to the AC Adaptor.3 Connect the AC Mains Lead to the AC Adaptor and the ACmains socket.≥The AC Mains Lead does not fit entirely into the AC Adaptor socket. Agap will remain as shown 1.≥Before disconnecting the power supply, set the [OFF/ON/MODE]Switch on the Movie Camera to [OFF].ªUsing the BatteryBefore use, charge the Battery.1 Attach the Battery to AC Adaptor and charge it.≥Since the Battery will not be charged when the DC Input Lead isconnected to the AC Adaptor, disconnect them.≥After the [POWER] Lamp has lighted, the [CHARGE] Lamp flashes.2 When the [100%] Lamp 1on the AC Adaptor is lit, chargingis finished.≥When the [QUICK] Lamp 2 is lit, approximately 55 minutes ofcontinuous recording is possible.≥The [QUICK] Lamp flashes and then remains lit only when charging aquick-charge type battery.3 Attach the charged Battery to the Movie Camera.Disconnecting the Power SourceSet the [OFF/ON/MODE] Switch 3 to [OFF], and while pressing the[BATT PUSH] Button 4, slide the Battery or the DC Input Lead to remove it.ªSupplying Power from the Cigarette Lighter Socket in aCarThe use of the Car Adaptor Cord (VW-KA7E; optional) together with the ACAdaptor makes it possible to supply power to the Movie Camera in a car forrecording and playback.
