The user access security function is notavailable for carrier-mounted CSUs.Level 1 (Lvl1) access security allows access to allfunctions available through the menu tree. This is thedefault setting.Level 2 (Lvl2) access security restricts access to onlythose functions that cannot affect the operation of theCSU in any way. At this level,• None of the functions in the Test or Ctrl branchesare available.• All functions on the Stat branch are available.• All functions on the Cnfg branch are available fordisplay, but they cannot be used to save to aconfiguration area.You can only reach the screen that controls securityaccess using the front panel.Changing User Interface Access SecurityTo change user interface access security,1. Press the key two times from the top-levelscreen.F1CSU ESFStat Test CnfigF2 F32. Press the key three times.F1CSU ESFStat Test CnfigF2 F33. Press the key once.F1CSU ESFStat Test CnfigF2 F3The Security screen appears.F1Security:Lvl1 Lvl2F2 F34. Press F1 to select Lvl1, or press F2 to select Lvl2.After you make a selection, the top-level screenappears.If you do not make a selection within 5 minutes,the Automatic Device Health/Status screenappears.
