The signal is looped back as close to the networkinterface as possible (after it has passed through theframing circuitry of the CSU). Framing CRCs and BPVsare corrected.To perform a Repeater loopback,1. From the top-level menu screen, select Test.2. From the Test screen, select Lpbk.F1Test:Rlpbk Lpbk PtrnsF2 F33. From the Loopback screen, press the key untilthe RLB selection appears on the screen.4. Select RLB.F1Loopback:PLB DLB RLBF2 F3Test Started appears on Line 2. If a Repeaterloopback is already in progress, the AlreadyActive message appears. If an invalid combinationof loopbacks is in progress, the error messageInvld Test Combo appears (see Table4-8 for validloopback test combinations).Aborting LoopbacksThe Abort Loopback command stops all loopback testsor any selected loopback test currently active on the CSU.To abort one or more loopback tests,1. From the top-level menu screen, select Test.2. From the Test screen, select Lpbk.F1Test:Rlpbk Lpbk PtrnsF2 F33. From the Loopback screen, select Abort.F1Loopback:Abort LLB PLBF2 F34. From the Loopback Abort screen, press thedesired Function key to abort All or one specificloopback test. Use the scroll keys, if necessary.F1Loopback: AbortAll LLB PLBF2 F3When abort is complete, the message CommandComplete appears on the Abort screen.NOTEIf you mistakenly choose to aborta loopback test that is notcurrently running, a CommandComplete message will stilldisplay and the loopback that iscurrently active will still berunning. Use the TStat branch toview the test status to determine ifthe abort was successful.
