Ifyou want to restrict access to some users, you must set passwords onthe operator panel.Passwords on the operator panel are disabled by default. Once youenable and configure passwords on the operator panel, all users mustenter a password on the operator panel to log in. In addition, theservice login is automatically enabled and users with user or adminprivileges cannot access service functions. The service password is onlyavailable to Quantum Support personnel.Passwords on the operator panel are completely different and separatefrom passwords on the Web client. On the Web client, you can createand set up to 18 unique user accounts with different user names,passwords, privileges, and partition access. On the operator panel, onlythree unique accounts names are allowed, and the user names andprivileges cannot be changed (the only thing you can change is thepassword on the user and admin accounts). The user names are:User Name Privilege Leveladmin Administrativeuser Userservice Service — Only service users may use thisaccount. You may not modify the passwordfor this account.See Privilege Levels on page 80 for a description of administrative anduser privileges.In order to use logins and passwords, you must set the passwords for atleast the admin account. You can only do this via the operator panel.
