Reception for thisrange is best between 6:00 PMand midnight (your time).Follow these steps to tune prepro-grammed shortwave stations.1. Find the country and frequency forthe shortwave station you want totune in the “DX-398 ShortwavePages Chart” on Page 21. Thenwrite down the page number andmemory location number shownon the chart for that station.2. Press SW, then press PAGE.3. While PAGE is flashing, repeat-edly press TUNING or TUNINGor turn MANUAL TUNING untilthe page number you wrote downin Step 1 appears next to PAGE.The name of the broadcaster’scountry also appears next toPAGE.Then, when you reach the desiredpage number, press ENTER .4. Press a number key to enter thememory location number youwrote down in Step 1. The re-ceiver tunes the station.
