32TIMER FUNCTIONSUSING THE TIMERALARMSYour receiver has three timer alarms.You can set these alarms to sound(buzzer or radio) at a time you set.Setting an Alarm1. If you want the radio to turn on atthe alarm time, tune to the desiredstation. Then press M/MEM. MEMOand the memory location wherethe station is programmed flashfor about 10 seconds.2. Turn the receiver off.Silencing the AlarmWhen the display shows the alarmtime, the radio turns on or the buzzersounds and , 1, 2, or 3, andor flash on the display.If you selected the buzzer, its volumeincreases after several seconds. Aftera few more seconds, the buzzer’s vol-ume increases again. Then, after 60seconds, the buzzer turns itself offand sounds again the next day at theset time.If you selected the radio, it automati-cally turns off after 60 minutes. To si-lence the radio or the buzzer sooner,press POWER to turn off the receiver., 1, 2, or 3, and or dis-appear and the alarm sounds againthe next day at the set time.Using the Snooze FeatureTo silence the buzzer or radio alarm forabout 5 minutes, press any button ex-cept POWER, , or .flashes above . This temporarilysilences the buzzer or radio and then itsounds again.
