18The Main OvenThe Main oven has panels which have been coatedwith a special enamel that partly cleans itself. Thisdoes not stop all marks on the lining, but helps toreduce the amount of manual cleaning needed.The Cook & Clean panels work better above200°C. If you do most of your cooking below thistemperature, occasionally remove the panels andwipe with a lint free cloth and hot soapy water.The panels should then be dried and replacedand the oven heated at 200°C for about onehour. This will ensure the Cook & Clean panels areworking effectively.Don’t use steel wool (Brillo) or any other materialsthat will scratch the surface. Don’t use ovencleaning pads.Removing the Oven LiningsSome of the lining panels can be removed forcleaning and for cleaning behind. Remove theshelves first.The side panels of either oven can be removed.Each side of the ovenis fixed with four fixingscrews. You don’t haveto remove the screwsto remove the ovenlinings. Lift each sidepanel upwards andthey will slide off thescrews. Then pull themforwards.Once the linings are removed, the oven enamelinterior can be cleaned.The Tall OvenTo clean the oven sidesslide out the shelves,unhook the supportsfrom the oven sidesand lift out.Moving your cookerSwitch off the electricity supply.The cooker is heavy, two people may be requiredto move it. There are two levelling rollers at theback and also two screw down levelling feet atthe front.Open the grill door and right hand oven door sothat you can get a good grip on the bottom of thefascia panel as you move the oven.Lift the front of the cooker slightly and pull forward.Do not move the oven by pulling the doorhandles or knobs.Move the oven a bit at a time, checking behind it tomake sure the electricity supply cable is not caught.Make sure the cable has sufficient slack to move thecooker forward as you go along.If a stability chain is fitted, release it as you easethe cooker out. Don’t forget to refit it when youreplace the cooker.When you replace the cooker, again check behindto make sure that the electricity cable is not caughtor trapped.
