27Electrical ConnectionThis appliance must be installed by a qualified electricianto comply with the relevant regulations and also the localelectricity supply company requirements.WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHEDNoteThe cooker must be connected to the correct electricalsupply as stated on the voltage label on the cooker, througha suitable cooker control unit incorporating a double poleswitch having a contact separation of at least 3mm in allpoles. This cooker must not be connected to an ordinarydomestic power point.The total electrical load of the appliance is approximately15 kW. The cable size used should be suitable for this loadand comply with all local requirements.Access to the mains terminal is gained by removing theelectrical terminal cover box on the back panel.Connect the mains cable to the correct terminals for yourelectrical supply type. Please note the maximum cable sizeis 10mm2 for the 3-pronged links.Check that the links are correctly fitted and thatthe terminal screws are tight.Secure the mains cableusing the cable clamp.Current Operated Earth Leakage BreakersWhere the installation is protected by a 30 milliampsensitivity residual current device (RCD), the combineduse of your cooker and other domestic appliances mayoccasionally cause nuisance tripping. In these instances thecooker circuit may need to be protected by fitting 100mAdevice. This work should be carried out by a qualifiedelectrician.Fitting the plinthLoosen the 3 screws along the front bottom edge of thecooker. Hook the central keyhole over the central screw.Twist and fit each end keyhole over their respective screws.Tighten the fixing screws.Oven LightPress the oven light switch and check that the light isworking.NB. The oven light bulb is not included in the guarantee.HobplateTurn on each plate in turn and check that it heats up.GrillOpen the grill compartment door. Turn on the grill controland check that the grill heats up.Oven checkSet the clock to the time of dayWhen the clock is first connected the display will flash( ) and ( ) alternately.To set the clock to read the time of day turn and hold theTimer knob to the clock symbol and at the same timeturn the Adjusting knob left or right until the clock showsthe time of day. Remember this is a 24 hour clock. Let go ofthe Timer knob and it will spring back to the vertical ovenmanual setting.Turn on the oven and check that the oven fan starts to turnand that the oven starts to heat up.
