DCS-VIP User Guide19Option B) Connecting a HubTo configure the network for more users, the number of ports can be expanded byconnecting a hub which supports the same speed as that of the DCS-VIP or therouter. The cable to be used here is a crossover cable, which is not provided withthe product. For more information about the crossover cable specifications, refer toAppendix B.1. Connect an Ethernet crossover cable (not included) to any of the portslabeled Ethernet ports on the rear panel of your DCS-VIP.2. Connect the other end of the cable to an available port on your Ethernethub, switch, or router.
