DCS-VIP User Guide222. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to any of the Ethernet ports on therear panel of the DCS-VIP. Alternatively, connect to the 10/100Mbps Ethernetport of another router.NoteIf you are using a separate router as a VoIP’s gateway, you can connectthe VoIP port to the other router’s Ethernet port.Connecting External Music/Page (Option)The DCS-VIP has a music on hold (MOH) feature. To use this feature you will haveto connect music-providing equipment such as a radio or CD player.If connecting external music/page, you will have to connect the MOH port on therear panel of the system to the external music/page output equipment.Connecting the Power CordWhen all of the cable connections to the DCS-VIP system are done, connect thepower cord as follows.1. Connect the provided power cord to the power input connector on the rearpanel of your DCS-VIP.2. Connect the other end of the power cord to the electrical outlet.
