112Bluetooth SettingsThe Bluetooth settings menu is used to set up many of thecharacteristics of your device’s Bluetooth service, including:• Entering or changing the name your device uses for Bluetoothcommunication and description• Setting your device’s visibility (or “discoverability”) for otherBluetooth devicesDevice VisibilityTo access the Bluetooth Settings menu:1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings➔ Bluetooth.2. Touch the ON/OFF button to turn Bluetooth ON .3. Touch the check box under My Device to make yourdevice visible to other Bluetooth devices for twominutes.A countdown clock appears to indicate how much timeis left before Bluetooth visibility turns off.Note: Your device must be visible in order to connect to someBluetooth devices.To change the length of time before Bluetooth visibility isturned off:1. From the Bluetooth settings screen, touch Moreoptions ➔ Visibility timeout.2. Select a length of time that you would like for yourdevice to be visible to other Bluetooth devices. You canchoose from 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 hour, and Nevertimeout.Change Your Device NameNote: The name that appears for your device in Bluetoothconnections is the customizable Device name inSettings. Changing your Device name for Bluetoothconnections will also change the name in other areas ofyour device.To change the name that appears for your device:1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings➔ About device ➔ Device name.2. Use the keyboard to change your device name andtouch OK.
