It is preset to “0000” at thefactory.Phone lock (Menu 7-5-1)In Lock mode, you cannot dial numbers, except formaking an emergency call, or accessing menuoptions. The phone can receive incoming calls andmessages, even though the phone is in Lock mode.The following options are available:On: You are required to enter the lock code whenyou switch on the phone.Off: You are not asked to enter the lock code whenyou switch on the phone.To place an emergency call in Lock mode, enter aprogrammed number and then press the key.The phone recognizes standard emergencynumbers, such as 100, or three numbersprogrammed in the Emergency # menu (Menu 7-5-3); see page 105.To unlock the phone, press one of the soft keys, oneof the volume keys, one of the navigation keys,Camera key, VAS key, or key and enter the 4-digit lock code. The phone is immediately unlocked.Settings105Change code (Menu 7-5-2)This feature allows you to change your current lockcode to a new one. The lock code is preset to“0000” at the factory.Enter a new, four-digit lock code and enter the codeonce again at the prompt.Note: Your phone does not allow viewing of the lockcode for security reasons, so be sure to writethe lock code down or memorize it if you havechanged.Emergency # (Menu 7-5-3)Your phone provides the option of storing threeemergency numbers. All of these numbers can bemanually dialed at any time, even if your phone islocked or all outgoing calls are restricted.IMPORTANT NOTICE!Emergency calling may not be available on allwireless networks at all times, due to the varioustransmission methods, network parameters anduser settings used to complete a call from yourwireless phone. A connection cannot always beguaranteed.DO NOT depend on this phone as a primary methodof dialing 100 or for any other essential oremergency communications.Remember to always turn on your phone and checkfor the adequate signal strength before placing acall.
