120CameraUsing the camera module built into your phone, youcan take photos of people or events while on themove. You can send photos to other people using amessage or set photos as a Wallpaper image or animage to be displayed when you turn on or off thephone.You can also record a video by using your phone asa camcorder.Note: You can quickly enter this menu by pressing thekey on the right side of the phone in Standbymode.CAUTION:• Do not take photos of people without theirpermission.• Do not take photos in a place where cameras are notallowed.• Do not take photos in a place where you mayinterfere with another person’s privacy.Take photo (Menu 9-1)The camera produces JPEG photos.Note: When you take a photo in direct sunlight or inbright conditions, shadows may appear on thephoto.Taking a photo with the phone open1. In Standby mode, press and hold the key onthe right side of the phone.The image to be captured appears on thedisplay.Camera1212. Adjust the image by aiming the camera at thesubject.Note: If resolution is set as high, zooming cannot beused.4. Press the Capture soft key or key to take thephoto.When you are taking multi-shot images, thecamera takes photos successively.5. Press the Save soft key.To discard the photo and go back to Capturemode, press the Cancel soft key.6. Enter the photo name you want.For details about entering characters, seepage 37.7. Press the OK soft key.The phone saves the photo(s) in the Photoalbum menu (Menu 9-3) and returns toCapture mode.3.
