Pressthe keys on the phone in order that youwould write the strokes, using one press perstroke.Example: Typing “ ” in Chinese TraditionalStroke mode7Character Selection FieldPress the 7 key to select “ .”Key Stroke FieldPress the 5 and 3keys to enter “ ”OK2. The phone displays your strokes in the KeyStroke Field and offers character choices inthe Character Selection Field. As you enterstrokes, notice that the choices in theCharacter Selection Field change. To scrollthrough the choices, press the Down key. Tomove back, press the Up key.Enter NameUsing Chinese Stroke ModeThis mode allows you to enter individual Chinesestrokes, in written order, from top to bottom andfrom left to right. Your phone provides ChineseSimplified Stroke mode and Chinese TraditionalStroke mode.The two modes work similarly, but thecharacters that appear on the display may differ.Even though there are many different strokesused to create Chinese characters, the strokesare classified into 5 basic categories; heng, shu,pie, dian and zhe. The basic strokes are printedon the 1 to 5 keys on the keypad.To enter a stroke, press the key printed with thestroke that most closely represents the exactstroke you want.The table shows the stroke/key relationship:
