103Multimedia Messages102Multimedia MessagesSetup (Menu 2.8)You can change the default settings for sending orreceiving multimedia messages.The following options are available:Delivery Report: when this option is enabled,the network informs you whether or not yourmessage has been delivered.Read Reply: when this option is enabled, yourphone sends a request for a reply along with yourmessage to the recipient.Auto Download: you can set whether or notyour phone retrieves new incoming messagesfrom the MMS server without notifications. Whenthis option is enabled, the phone automaticallyretrieves new messages from the server. As soonas you receive a message, you can use moreoptions while you are reading. See page 93 forfurther details about the options.Message Acceptance: you can specify thecategory of messages you want to receive.Hide ID: when this option is enabled, your phonenumber does not display on the recipient’s phone.Expiry Date: you can select the length of timeyour messages are stored in the message centreafter they are sent.Delivery Time: you can set a delay time beforethe phone sends your messages.Priority: you can select the priority level of yourmessages.Report Allowed: when this option is enabled, thesender of an incoming message receives adelivery report from the network.Page Duration: you can set the length of timeone page of an outgoing message displays on themessage presentation screen. After a specifiedtime, the display automatically scrolls to the nextpage.MMS Profile (Menu 2.9)In this menu, you can configure various networksettings that are required when you send orreceive multimedia messages.Notes:• The last profile you accessed is automaticallyactivated for sending messages.• If you change the MMS settings without firstchecking with your service provider, the MMSfeature may not work properly.The following options are available for eachprofile:Profile Name: enter a name that you wish toassign to the MMS server.Connection URL: enter the address of your MMSserver.Security: select a data transmission mode.Choose Secure to protect your data againstunauthorised access; otherwise, choose Non-Secure.IP Address: enter the gateway address requiredto connect to the MMS server.User Name: enter the user ID required toconnect to the MMS server.
