7978Using the MenusText MessagesShort Message Service (SMS) allows you to sendand receive short text messages to and fromother GSM mobile phones. In addition, yourphone supports the Enhanced Messaging Service(EMS), which enables you to include simplephotos, melodies, and animated images in yourmessages. To use this feature, you mustsubscribe to your service provider’s messageservice.When the Text Message icon ( ) appears, youhave received new text messages. If thememory is full, an error message displays andyou cannot receive any new messages. Use theDelete option in each message box to delete theobsolete ones.Note: You can quickly enter the Text Messagesmenu by pressing the Left key in Idle mode.Inbox (Menu 1.1)This message box is used to store the messagesthat you have received.When you enter this menu, the list of messagesin the box displays with the senders’ phonenumbers or names, if available in your PhoneBook.1. Select a message from the list and press theView soft key to read the message contents.2. To scroll through the contents, press the Upor Down key.3.
