Options During a Call50Muting/Sending Key TonesThese options allow you to turn the key tones off oron. If the Mute keys option is selected, your phonedoes not transmit the key tones. It allows you topress keys without hearing annoying key tonesduring a call.Note: To communicate with answering machines orcomputerised telephony systems, the Sendkeys option must be selected.Sending DTMF TonesYou can send the DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency)tones corresponding to a number entered during acall.This option is helpful when submitting a passwordor account number to an automated system, like abanking service.To send DTMF tones, proceed as follows.1. When you are connected to the teleservicesystem, press the Options soft key.2. Press the Down key to highlight the Send DTMFoption.3. Press the OK soft key.4. Enter the number you wish to send and pressthe OK soft key.The tones corresponding to the numberdisplayed are sent.Note: You can also search for a number in thephonebook by pressing the Name soft key. Press the Options soft key.2. Press the Down key to highlight the Phonebookoption.3. Press the OK soft key.The phonebook entries are listed.4. Enter the name that you wish to find.If you enter the start of the name, thephonebook entries are listed, starting with thefirst entry matching your input. The entry is alsohighlighted.5.
