Phone Settings88SIM Lock (Menu 4.6.5)When the SIM Lock feature is enabled, your phoneonly works with the current SIM. You must enterthe SIM lock code.Once you have entered the SIM lock code, you areasked to confirm it by entering it again.To unlock the SIM, you must enter the SIM lockcode.FDN Mode (Menu 4.6.6)The FDN (Fixed Dial Number) mode, if supported byyour SIM card, allows you to restrict your outgoingcalls to a limited set of phone numbers.The following options are available.Disable: you can phone any number.Enable: you can only call phone numbers stored inthe phonebook. You must enter your PIN2.Note: Not all SIM cards have a PIN2. If your SIM carddoes not, this menu option is not displayed.To change your PIN2, refer to the Change PIN2menu option (Menu 4.6.7) below.Change PIN2 (Menu 4.6.7)The Change PIN2 feature allows you to change yourcurrent PIN2 to a new one. You must enter thecurrent PIN2 before you can specify a new one.Once you have entered a new PIN2, you are askedto confirm it by entering it again.Note: Not all SIM cards have a PIN2. If your SIM carddoes not, this menu option is not displayed.Phone Settings89Display Settings (Menu 4.7)Brightness (Menu 4.7.1)This option allows you to adjust the brightness ofthe external display screen to see it better indifferent lighting conditions.To adjust the display brightness, proceed as follows.1. When Front LCD appears, press the Select softkey.2. Adjust the brightness using the Up and Downkeys or the and keys on the left side of thephone.3. When you are satisfied, press the OK soft key tosave the selection.Back Light (Menu 4.7.2)You can select whether or not the phone uses thebacklight. A marginal increase in standby/talk timecan be achieved by turning the backlight off.Select the length of time for which the backlight ison. The backlight comes on when you press a keyor receive a call or message and lights up for thespecified length of time. Then it dims and finallyswitches off after one minute.If you do not want to use the backlight, select Off.
